Changes to Our Business | COVID-19
We’re living through incredibly uncertain times and the effects of COVID-19 are being felt in all parts of our lives.
At Platypus Park we’ve had to make some tough decisions about our business and how we can operate based on the latest government regulations.
Accommodation & Camping
Whilst we continue to remain open, we are limited to the services we are able to provide. Our accommodation will continue to remain open for essential travellers. Regrettably at this time, we’re unable to accept any arrivals or bookings for non-essential travel.
As we understand ‘essential travel’ includes travel that is related to:
- necessary activities for work purposes;
- essential accommodation while stopping at one location during a current road trip;
- travel on compassionate grounds; and
- travel required to return to your place of residence.
If you have a non-essential booking in the next 60 days, please contact us via email to discuss your options.
We’re asking all guests to consider postponement of your booking to a later date, rather than full cancellation to support our business in this difficult time.
If this is not an option for you at this time, we’re happy to provide a refund, less a $25 administration fee as per our cancellation policy.
Weddings & Functions
We understand the new regulations for weddings, which include a maximum of five people present, is devastating for anyone getting married in the next few months. For anyone unable to postpone, we would still gladly host your wedding, working within these rules.
For weddings booked later in the year, it is too early to speculate what the situation might be in 6 months’ time. We’re hopeful many of the restrictions might be lifted by then and your wedding can proceed as planned. If you would like to talk through any concerns, please get in touch.
